Pastor Blog

February 10, Vicky and I are very grateful for a time away, the pastor's conference was wonderful and refreshing. The sunshine in Jacksonville was pretty nice too. My prayer is we can share with you the inspiration we received while there. God is mightily working around the world, I believe making one last great plea for every heart to come to Him. As I look around and see the current events, I'm convinced more and more we are quickly moving closer to the return of Jesus! As good as it is to be away, I agree with Dorothy, "there's no place like home." Can you imagine when we step through the gates of glory and we see our heavenly home? I believe then we will say " there is truly no place place like this home!"  Revelation 21

January 27, Vicky and I with Ken Bevel who played the role of police officer Nathan Hayes in the movie Courageous. What a nice guy! I discovered he is a former Marine Officer and currently Associate Pastor at Sherwood Baptist Church.

January 27,2012  Vicky and I are enduring the 80 degree temperature here in Jacksonville, Fl. and really enjoying the Pastor's Conference. We will miss all of you this Sunday and encourage you to be faithful and support Bro. Jacob as he fills the pulpit. I know he will have a word from God for the Church. Pray for Vicky and me as both of us are fighting a cold. Pray that God will renew our hearts and revive our spirits and when we return we will be able to share the blessings with you that we receive while we are here.

No, this is not a picture of me! Thou at times I wish I was a superman, to be able to fly counter clockwise at the speed of light and turn back time to undo my mistakes and failures. Yes, preachers fail too. The New Year to me is a reminder of God’s grace, that each morning is a new start. Every Sunday begins a new week and January first starts a New Year. I am so thankful for His patience, mercy and forgiveness. I’m grateful for I John 1:9 that states when I confess my sin to God, He is always faithful to forgive and cleans me of all my sin. But the burden I carry is the reality that even thou God forgives and cleanses me of my failures those hurt by my actions may never recover. My prayer for this New Year is I will walk so close and listen so intently to the Lord that I will not let Him down and never hurt anyone. I guess if we walk in the light as He is in the light we will not need to be a superman! I John 1:7
